Everything about your wedding is unique. And as such, your wedding photography should follow. Your images are the one tangible thing you will have to remember your wedding day, which makes choosing the right wedding photography team one of the most important decisions you’ll make...and so many of our brides tell me, hiring Rebecca Keeling Studios was the best decision they made!
At my core, I am a storyteller. I realize the importance of getting generations together and taking a beautifully orchestrated portrait for posterity. But, for the majority of the day, I especially thrive on blending in with your guests and taking photos without ever being noticed. In fact, you may not even remember me being there at a particular moment until you see the images after the event. In this way, I feel I can create the story of your day through images with authentic moments. After all, any photograph can help you remember how your wedding looked. I want to be sure you remember how your wedding felt.
My unique storytelling style is truly an unforgettable experience…I am known for capturing wedding day love stories with real emotion and honest moments. While I offer several wedding collections in varying price and levels of inclusion, my two most popular collections are all-inclusive, featuring engagement sessions, high-resolution digital imagery of the wedding day and custom designed albums…all of which are add-ons with other photography studios (meaning more money at every turn!), but I feel very strongly about giving you a complete package when you hire me to document your full wedding day! I especially love small, intimate weddings and elopements, and I offer customized packages for these events as well.
As a mom, I know young children tend to have a difficult time staying focused on an activity for long periods, so I try to make the sessions as fun for them as possible. In fact, we might get a bit dirty as we roll around on the grass, look for bugs, or gaze at the clouds. Many of my portrait session images don’t end up with everyone smiling and looking directly at the camera. My goal is creating fun moments and memories with you and your children playing, laughing, loving on each other.
Truly unique and personal portraits take a great deal of thought and planning. There are no limitations on suggestions for props or locations for your session. Personal items will transform your photograph into a treasured memory. Fun, playful clothes for kids such as hats or tutus always make for adorable images. An heirloom chair outside creates an interesting and beautiful focal point. This is not your traditional studio so get outside that box and let's make some art!
To create the most beautiful custom portraits, I prefer to shoot with lots of natural light. I schedule most of my sessions in the late afternoon, about 2 hours before sunset. During wedding season (April-November) portrait sessions must be scheduled during the week, as Saturdays are reserved for weddings and Sundays are our family day! The location can be at your own home or property, where your family will be most comfortable and your portraits will be most personal. There are also many venues in and around the Richmond, Williamsburg and Charlottesville, Virginia areas that are absolutely gorgeous. Locations are limited only to your imagination…let's brainstorm about the perfect spot for your session.
