Details, details, details. Most weddings that we shoot are fairly similar in tradition, order of activities, and events of the day. The main component of creating a custom wedding day, one that is all your own, all about you as a couple and no one else, is in the attention to detail. As a recovering scrapbooker, details make me a happy, happy girl. {And by scrapbooker I don’t mean sticking photos on a piece of paper and sticking it in a book. I mean scouring through drawers of paper to find the exact mix of photo-worthy patterns and textures, digging through compartments of embellishments selecting the perfect accessories for the page, editing, printing, and treating the edges of the images, and designing a one-of-a-kind piece of art for my beautiful books — a process which could take an hour or more per page} So lucky for me, Miranda does this sort of thing for a living, and is just as crazy about details as I am. With lots of hard work and vision, she created an incredibly gorgeous backyard wedding at her mother’s home on Lynnhaven Bay, and I took FULL advantage photographing all of her personal touches. It was absolutely a day made by love and for love, with their closest friends and family surrounding them with support and sentiment. Congratulations, Miranda & Christopher, and thank you for choosing us to share such a special day with you both. <3
